"I'm going (t)here some day"

Last week, I went here! It is kind of amazing that all of my life this is one of those things that I have been working for, and it finally happened! It was pretty much an amazing day, and so wonderful to be in the temple with my family!

2010

So, like many other bloggers, here is a bit of a wrap up of 2010. And yes, I know January is half over, but who cares?! Here are the highlights (at least what I can remember)!

January: Braved the cold, clinicals for my last semester of the BSN program. Got my passport, just in time for the Haiti earthquake.
February: Signed up for LDS humanitarian service and planned to go to Haiti, however, the trip was canceled. Big bummer, but sometime soon!

March: Spent hours playing catch up for the semester, lots of going to the gym, Wrote a 30 page paper for my research class.
April: After spending hours on the phone, letters, and emails, found out that I could graduate! Super exciting! And I did graduate! Went with my family up to campus and meandered around campus for the first time ever the day I graduated! Super awesome! Spent time with family and partied it up! 7 years later...so glad to be done!

May: Moved to a new place and have loved it! So much fun decorating and making it feel like home! As part of my graduation gift, my parents got me a bike. Several days were spent shopping around and picking one out, but I love my new beauty! I had so much fun riding this spring and summer.
June: I was given a months notice, and asked to be in charge of a Relay for Life team at the cancer clinic where I work. It was an honor to be asked, but so much work! And after all the work, fundraising, running around and getting everything ready, it poured...and poured! But we had the best turn out we have ever had, and regardless it was a success! I have layers and layers of blisters from walking a million plus laps around the track in the rain but oh well! It turned out to be a lot of fun and great experience.
July: Only worked 4 1/2 shifts the entire month! Celebrated the 4th of July with family at the Lake and worked in the ER-watched Stadium of Fire from the ER parking lot! 2 week trip to western Canada! Had a lot of fun with two friends touring amazingly beautiful places and even got stuck in a blizzard on July 13th! Visited Seattle, San Juan Islands, Victoria, Vancouver, Bamph, Lake Louise, Columbia Icefields, Alabasa Glacier, lots of driving, Calgary, Calgary Stampede/Chuckwagon races/fair/grandstand show, Glacier and Waterton National Parks. It was a fun and busy trip!
Another highlight of July was the annual Lake Powell trip...what I live for all summer!
August: Almost made it to another Lake Powell trip, but didn't happen--such a bummer! Lots more boating, biking, and friends!
September: New callings at church-ward organist and visiting teaching coordinator. Learning how to play the organ has definetly been a challenge, but I have learned a lot as I've basically taught myself. It is completely different than playing the piano!

October: Halloween in the ER--first time I haven't dressed up there.
November: 3 trips in 4 weeks! Visited one of my best friends from high school and college in Denver, CO-Randia and Andria and new baby Natalie (so stinin' cute!), off to Orlando, FL for fun in the sun, an Oncology Nursing Conference, went to Universal Studios, Sea World, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and the beach! Loved being in the fabulous sunshine! Also went to Lake Powell with my family and cousins over Thanksgiving-had a ton of fun playing games, walking around, watching movies, and wakeboarding. Yes, you read that right, wakeboarding in 54* water and low 30* air temp! So fun, and so dang cold! Also watched my little brother in his high school play,he was pretty legit! Shalom brother

December: Lots of fun holiday memories including Savior of the World, lights at Temple Square, family parties, getting together with old friends, seeing the Mangums, baby blessings, cousins mission homecoming, St. George for New Years, playing with my new cricket!
